 Handcraft meets Technology This started with a picture of sumac stem & leaves, then the image was traced on the computer, and the tracing was then cut with the laser. Finally, a high speed carver was used to give shape to the leaves. |

 Torsion Box Core This is used to provide support on the inside of a hollow-core curved door. This is a variable laser template that can be a real time saver for cabinetmakers, interior designers, etc Just send the radius, layout, etc of the frames, and we'll precision-cut them for you. We can make complete circles, serpentine curves and straight-to-curved shapes. Call with your ideas and needs! The columns are made of re-sawn cherry to ensure an exact match. In each column a different fern is laser cut; from root ball to leaf. The lowest features in each panel are left flush with the surface of the column. As the eye moves up the columns the fern is raised further from background area. The ferns were then carved for shape and detail and glued in place. Final trimming and finishing yields the beautiful fireplace surround you see pictured here. |
